I know you state that most casual games won't be reviewed on PlayThisThing.com, but I thought you might consider reviewing Peggle Deluxe, our latest smash hit.

Here's why: - Peggle IS a 'crossover' phenomenon; it's selling like hotcakes on STEAM, and it's been very warmly received by the 'hardcore' gaming press... PC Gamer just voted Peggle one of the top 100 video games of all time, and MSNBC.com named it one of the five most addictive games of all time (along with WoW, Doom, Tetris and Everquest .

- Peggle is as fun and accessible from the get-go as say, Tetris or Bejeweled...but it's far deeper than those seminal titles, and just gets better and better the more you play. - A new 'basic' version of Peggle just launched on the Web yesterday, so people can try the game out for free...but that Web version doesn't truly do the game justice - the full Deluxe version is much bigger and better.

Peggle is fantastic, but I'm not sure it belongs here, it just doesn't feel like an Manifesto Games/Play This Thing game. It is definitely a mainstream game and although it has done well with many types of gamers I don't think that's enough to make it here. I would never expect Bioshock on here for example, even though it's unusual, fairly unique, and definitely feels like the developers made the game they wanted to make.

Birth of America

Birth of America

Birth of America is a big, sprawling wargame of the American Revolution and the French and Indian Wars, with a map covering the whole eastern portion of the North American continent (including Quebec, and up to the Mississippi). Though strategic in its approach, you play at an operational level, ordering individual regiments on a detailed map of the area. Although it's turn-based, enemy units move and fight at the same time as yours, so unlike many turn-based games, there's a real sense of the fluidity of combat. (Or to put it another way, it's not an "I go, you go" game--rather, both you and the AI plan your moves, and then you watch as the results of those plans play out.)

Demo contains the tutorial and the full 1775 campaign--quite a lot of gameplay at no cost.
