A depressing art game based on a true story. The player faces the struggles of loneliness and old age. Every day they are asked if they would just like their character to die yet.
And here are a few comments about the game on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/WebGames/comments/hbfns/is_it_time_a_heartrendin...
The game is called "is it time?" and is based on my grandmother. You play as an old woman as she lives out the last few days of her life. Slowly it becomes harder to see, harder to hear, things move around differently than you remember them, people speaking make less and less sense, and flashbacks and hallucinations start occurring. The game is more of a show rather than tell because the player feels the frustration of bad memory and sight because things are arranged differently than THEY remember and it's harder for THEM to see. The game focuses on the theme of lose and even starts off with the woman's husband dying. There are hidden things that the player can find, for example if they manage to talk to a lonely friend every day for 8 days then they unlock an achievement, otherwise that friend dies basically because she has no purpose anymore. Anyways, the game is not meant to be fun, it is sad and depressing and about half of the players that I've showed it to have actually cried while playing.
