Amanita Design is well known form its delightful Samorost games, which are free; with Machinarium, they've basically taken the aesthetic of those games, produced a much larger one (about six hours of gameplay), and are offering it for sale, along with a playable Flash demo that's an excellent little game in its own right.

It's hard to evaluate Gumboy Crazy Adventures without comparison to games such as LocoRoco, Gish, Wik, and even Eets, as the similarities are apparent. Nonetheless, it stands on its own as a unique title, a refreshingly challenging yet quirky sidescroller set in a fanciful, fairy-tale world. Crazy Adventures indeed!

A point-and-click graphic adventure in the classic mold, Samorost has been lauded worldwide for its clever puzzles, excellent Czech animation (in Flash), and surrealist, cerebral nature.
Free RPGs are a dime a dozen on the Internet, but Lost Legends manages to stand out thanks to its great, highly stylized 3D graphics and a scalable camera that allows for gameplay from bird's eye to first-person viewpoints. There's no story to speak of here -- just name your warrior or wizard, pick a location on the map and jump into a random overworld and/or dungeon map for a bit of chase & chop fun.
