AxelTheAsDragon and Weed is a sidescrolling 2D shooter with a kickass rock soundtrack and nicely hand-drawn background graphics. Challenges vary a bit with level, and so while fairly short, it's likely to hold your interest, if you like this style of game.
The controls are, however, somewhat slow and unresponsive, which can be frustrating at times. Also, you do need to realize that the game is poorly translated from the French, so don't expect the comic-book-style cut scenes to make any sense. This doesn't seem to matter much, as the general rule is "blow away all enemies" (though in some cases you can sneak), so it's not like vital information is being transmitted by the cut scenes.
Original? No, not particularly, but a pleasant enough amateur effort.
